BBC World Service – PowerPoint Design

Project Description

PowerPoint design is a difficult skill to master, especially when you need to present statistical information in an engaging manner to a large audience.

The BBC World Service is the world’s largest international broadcaster, broadcasting radio and television news, speech and discussions in over 30 languages to many parts of the world via, Internet streaming, podcasting, satellite and radio. The World Service reaches over 210 million people a week (TV, radio and online) on average. Part funded by advertising throughout the world, they had a need to create proposals and sales reports that could be shown both in person and as a take-away format. The best way of achieving this, whilst keeping the data within brand guidelines and visually attractive, was by using PowerPoint.

I was given a set of graphics that had been previously used with The World Service for additional branding, and needed to incorporate them and the overall feel of these elements into workable PowerPoint designs. As the presentations were targeting geographic regions, each one had to stand alone as a unique document, whilst visually can sit within the full suite of documents they used.

Here are a few examples of PowerPoint slide designs that I’ve created.
